Amie's Bio

Amie is an aspiring children's author from Kingsteignton in Devon, UK. She grew up in Lichfield, Staffordshire, but was drawn to Devon for its beautiful coastlines and Dartmoor National Park. While Amie didn't study to become an author, it was always a dream of hers to write a children's book. Inspiration struck when she was walking her dog Rusty on the Moors.

In her professional life, Amie works for a mental health charity called Step One, managing all aspects of health and safety and compliance. She also oversees projects and renovations to ensure the best possible environment for the people they support. Amie's interest in mental health led her to explore the positive effects of being outside and exercising, which she hopes to convey through her stories.

When not working, Amie loves spending time outside with Rusty. She enjoys exploring the beautiful countryside around her, practicing yoga and meditation, and being creative. Traveling and experiencing new cultures and landscapes are also among her interests.

Amie's dream is for her books to inspire children to explore the outdoors and fall in love with nature. She hopes to convey the message that our world is beautiful and amazing, and that we need to care for the special places we have around us.

Fun fact: When Amie was a young child, she used to talk about "her farm" with every animal you could imagine. It's still a topic of conversation with her family to this day.
